The summary is here to help. The full text below is what applies.
01Using Daybook
Daybook helps you plan your days, keep habits and write a journal. To use it, you need to be at least 18 and have an Asemita account. Your account is for you alone, so please don't share it.
02Your account
You sign in with your Asemita account, so keep your phone and the devices you sign in on secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you see a device you don't recognise in Settings, under Devices, sign it out and tell us at info@asemita.com.
03Your content
Everything you add to Daybook, including tasks, journal pages, photos, voice notes and videos, stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it, and to share it with our service providers, only as needed to run Daybook for you, including the assistant when you use it. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the law requires us to keep something.
Only upload things you have the right to use, and nothing unlawful.
04Your journal PIN
If you lock your journal with a PIN, you're responsible for remembering it. We don't store your PIN, so we can't recover locked pages if you forget it. After several wrong attempts, unlocking pauses for a while to protect your journal.
05The assistant
The assistant is optional, and we may limit, pause or withdraw access to it. Its answers come from an AI model and can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important. It isn't medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. When you ask it to add, change or delete tasks or journal pages, it does so on your behalf, so please review what it does.
06Reminders and time off
We try to send the reminders you turn on at the right time, but delivery depends on your device, browser and network, so they can be late or missed. Don't rely on Daybook for anything critical, such as medication or safety. Marking time off, such as a sick day, only changes how Daybook counts your days. It isn't medical advice.
07Fair use
Please don't:
- Break the law, or use Daybook to harm or harass anyone.
- Upload malware, or content that is illegal or infringes someone else's rights.
- Try to get into other people's accounts or data, or parts of Daybook you're not meant to reach.
- Overload, scrape, probe or reverse-engineer Daybook, or get around its limits.
- Use the assistant to create unlawful or harmful content.
We may set reasonable limits, for example on storage or the size of uploads.
08Price
Daybook is free to use today. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you clearly beforehand, and we won't charge you anything without your agreement.
09Changes and availability
We keep improving Daybook, so features may change, be added or be removed. We work to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything important; you can download your journal as a PDF at any time. If we ever decide to shut Daybook down, we'll give you reasonable notice so you can save your data.
10Ending
You can stop using Daybook and delete your account at any time from Settings. Account and journal deletions take effect after 7 days, in case you change your mind. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect Daybook or other people. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why.
11Our property
Daybook's software, design, name and logo belong to Asemita. These terms don't give you any right to use them, other than to use Daybook as intended.
12Disclaimers and liability
Daybook is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't make promises beyond those in these terms, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities. Our total liability to you for any claim about Daybook is limited to the greater of what you paid us for Daybook in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll also let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using Daybook after a change, the new terms apply.
